A singer/songwriter and music composer who finds inspiration in God’s love
Nicolae Chereji, one of ten siblings, was born in Hunedoara, Romania. Sadly, as of today, he remains the only one among his siblings who has remained a Christian. He is known to friends and family as Nicu. He is also known as a gifted music composer and singer with a bachelor’s degree in music and arts.
In Romania, Nicu worked as a steelworker and was a certified electrician. After immigrating to the United States, he expanded his expertise by becoming certified as a cardiovascular technician and gaining additional qualifications in surgical sterilization and assistance techniques.
Despite his extensive education and professional accomplishments, Nicu prioritizes his relationship with God and his family above all else. He has composed over 85 Christian songs and, together with his wife, Estera, has been blessed with 23 children, 17 which are still living.
It’s understandable to assume that managing such a large family comes with significant challenges. Like any family, they have faced their share of ups and downs, trials, and issues that could test anyone’s resolve. Nicu and his wife Estera have endured many hardships that might have overwhelmed others. Yet, through perseverance and with God’s help, they have not only overcome these trials but also found the strength to encourage others to trust in God. Their experiences serve as a powerful testament to the truth that, with God, all things are possible. They are a true inspiration of hope and faith.
Today, Nicu serves as a surgical technician at a hospital in Idaho, a position he has faithfully held for many years. In his free time, he is dedicated to his family and travels to churches across the United States, sharing his music, faith, and an uplifting message to inspire others to walk with Christ.
